AMD has launched the AMD PRO commercial processor series based on Zen 4, RDNA 3 and XDNA architecture, including the AMD PRO 8040 series for notebooks and the AMD PRO 8000 series for desktops.
These processors use 4nm process, integrate AMD AI technology, support WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and have significant improvements in performance, power consumption and AI. The Ryzen PRO 8040 series for notebooks is divided into HS and U sub-series, with power consumption ranging from 15W to 54W.
The desktop Ryzen PRO 8000 series is divided into G and GE series, with power consumption ranging from 35W to 65W. AMD also announced a partnership with Qualcomm and MediaTek to launch commercial laptops that support WiFi 7, improving connectivity and performance.
