Kia plans to launch more affordable electric vehicles in the United States, thanks to its latest development and what it calls a “secret sauce.” This will be the beginning of a new era for the company, aiming to provide easy-to-use clean energy vehicles to help American consumers reduce carbon emissions.

Kia’s chief operating officer said they are ahead of the competition and plan to launch the cars in the U.S. market with more evolved technology. Their electric vehicle concepts include EV2, EV3, EV4 and EV5, which are expected to be priced between US$30,000 and US$80,000, with EV5 selling for only US$20,000 in China.

Kia believes the strength of its R&D and secret sauce will allow it to launch a more affordable EV lineup in the future.
