Vietnamese technology company FPT plans to cooperate with Nvidia to build an artificial intelligence factory worth US$200 million to accelerate Vietnam’s transformation into a semiconductor and artificial intelligence center. The factory will utilize Nvidia technology, including artificial intelligence software and chips.

The chairman of FPT said that this will help accelerate the development of artificial intelligence platforms and applications, and plans to incorporate Nvidia projects into educational courses to cultivate high-tech talents. CEO Huang Renxun said that Nvidia plans to invest approximately US$250 million in Vietnam and hopes to establish a semiconductor base in Vietnam.

This reflects global supply chain shocks and concerns about China’s strategic resource dependence, driving investment in Vietnam’s growing semiconductor industry.
