After Tesla CEO Elon Musk visits Beijing, Tesla’s fully autonomous driving software is about to land in the Chinese market.

The move signals Tesla will introduce its most advanced self-driving technology to China, the world’s second-largest market after the United States. Musk met with officials to discuss FSD implementation and data authorization issues. Although customers have been waiting for FSD for years, it has yet to be launched in the Chinese market, leading some Chinese automakers to release similar software.

Tesla’s debut in China’s FSD market threatens to intensify competition in the country’s fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) industry. Musk’s trip underscores Tesla’s focus on the Chinese market, even as the company faces declining sales and increased competition in the domestic market.
