Globe spends $90 million on global cybersecurity

Globe Telecom of the Philippines invested nearly US$90 million to upgrade its security platform to strengthen digital defense and improve network security.

The company has currently invested US$110 million in anti-fraud infrastructure to combat spam and other online fraud. The chief privacy officer stressed the importance of protecting personal data, noting that criminals sell sensitive information on the black market.

Globe implements a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that blocks malicious activity through a filtering system that operates 24/7, emphasizing the right cybersecurity culture and solutions.

The company has established a team of 97 people specifically responsible for data privacy and information security. This initiative is designed to prevent fraud and spam and protect customer data.
