Sarawak Microelectronics Design (SMD) Semiconductor has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Riverbeck Ltd and Big Innovation Center in the UK to jointly drive low-cost, innovative IC chip solutions.
The exchange was witnessed by the Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development of the Government of Sarawak and the British High Commissioner to Malaysia. SMD Semiconductor’s chairman said the collaboration will spark innovation, foster a spirit of collaboration, and pave the way for breakthrough ideas and products.
The CEO of the UK’s Big Innovation Centre said it was not only a partnership, but also a model of cooperation between countries in advanced technology.
This collaboration is considered to have fostered a key partnership between Sarawak/Malaysia and the United Kingdom in the field of semiconductor technology.
