SK hynix plans to actively use recycled and renewable materials in production, becoming the first company in the semiconductor industry to do so.

They will gradually increase the proportion of recycled materials from 25 in 2025 to more than %增至2030年的30%. The move will start with the replacement of metals such as copper, tin and gold, as well as recycled plastic packaging.

SK hynix will also strengthen the quality assessment of recycled materials and encourage suppliers to participate and obtain certification. The move echoes the net-zero commitments of other tech giants such as Apple and Samsung, and is expected to bring about significant changes in the semiconductor industry.
