Billionaire Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Altman, accusing them of abandoning their original intention of benefiting humanity rather than profit in favor of making money.

Musk said that OpenAI gave up its commitment to researching general artificial intelligence and focused on making profits. He asked the court to force OpenAI to disclose its research and prohibit it from using its assets to benefit Microsoft or others. OpenAI declined to comment.

Musk is also seeking a ruling that GPT-4 and new technology Q* are considered general artificial intelligence and are not subject to the scope of Microsoft’s license. Some legal experts have questioned whether Musk’s accusations are valid.

At the same time, Musk’s artificial intelligence competitor xAI has also attracted much attention. The company launched Grok, a competitor to ChatGPT.
