Market research company Canalys released a smartphone market report for the fourth quarter of 2023, showing that MediaTek delivered the highest volume of products, with a year-on-year growth of 21%.
Apple leads in terms of revenue, with iPhones using Cupertino chipsets bringing in $87 billion in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 20%. HiSilicon, owned by Huawei, achieved $7 billion in revenue with 7 million products, driven mainly by the nova 12 and Mate 60 phones.
In addition, revenue and sales of mobile phones using Unisoc’s chipsets increased by 24%, half of which are manufactured by Transsion, including the Infinix, Tecno and iTel brands.
Samsung Semiconductor’s Exynos chip phone shipments fell 48%, with revenue falling to $5 billion, but sales are expected to increase in the first half of 2024.
