Philippine game developers’ export sales hit US$2.4 million

The first-ever Game Development Summit (GDS) hosted by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry generated US$2.42 million in export sales for game developers.

53 business-to-business meetings were held during the event, resulting in 47 trade leads. Hosted by GameOps Inc. and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), GDS attracted 300 participants from various fields.

Trade Undersecretary Rafaelita Aldaba highlighted the partnership with GDAP and the International Trade Center’s ARISE Plus Philippines program to promote the game development industry.

The Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023-2028 identifies information technology as one of the priority industries and aims to increase exports to US$240.5 billion.
