Microsoft plans to integrate walkie-talkie functionality into Apple phones, using Apple’s push-to-talk framework into Teams Map. This is according to Microsoft’s development roadmap and is expected to be implemented in May.
Teams Walkie-Talkie is a feature of Microsoft Teams designed to provide instant push-to-talk (PTT). This new feature will provide instant, secure voice communications and allow users to take advantage of portable capabilities from the lock screen, allowing users to connect seamlessly even when Microsoft Teams is not in the foreground.
It will be accessible on GCC cloud instances of Microsoft Teams across iOS and Android platforms.
