Dell Technologies cut costs and laid off more than 13,000 employees even as its stock soared 25% to a record high.

This is due to declining demand in the PC market, but trends in artificial intelligence portend growing demand for information technology equipment. The Dell brand has performed well in artificial intelligence laptops, and its performance in Australia has attracted attention in particular.

Despite the difficult decision, Dell remains committed to reducing costs and remaining competitive. They have laid off more than 13,000 people, nearly 10% of their total workforce last year.
