Billionaire Elon Musk posted on X on Friday that the latest Grok-1.5 chatbot from his artificial intelligence startup xAI will be released on his social media platform X this week.
xAI said in a statement that Grok-1.5, an enhanced version of its chatbot Grok, will be available to early testers of X and existing Grok users in the coming days.
Musk said that xAI will open source Grok and sued Microsoft-backed OpenAI for abandoning its original intention and turning to a for-profit model.
Musk launched xAI last year to compete with OpenAI and Alphabet’s Google.
