The United States and the United Kingdom have announced a scientific partnership on artificial intelligence safety to address concerns about the next version of artificial intelligence. Cooperation will accelerate the resolution of risks to national security and social issues.

The two countries plan to conduct joint testing exercises and explore personnel exchanges. They are also committed to establishing similar partnerships with other countries.

The Biden administration plans to beef up its artificial intelligence team. The move is aimed at sharing critical information to reduce AI risks and improve regulatory capabilities to guard against the threat of bioterrorism or nuclear war simulations.
