Lime, a shared e-bike and scooter network backed by Uber, plans to invest more than $55 million this year to expand its global fleet.

CEO Wayne Ting said the company will add more than 30,000 new bikes and replace aging bikes in North America, Europe and Australia.

He also said the company is exploring new lines of business, such as ad exchanges, and reported record gross bookings in 2023 of $616 million.

While other competitors are struggling, Lime is expanding and is ready to go public.
