Mercedes-Benz’s AMG performance division plans to launch a “super SUV” based on its own pure electric platform, which is expected to be launched in 2026.

This flagship product will directly compete with the BMW XM, Lotus Eletre and Porsche’s flagship “K1” three-row SUV. AMG will develop the car independently, with unique exterior and interior designs, as a successor to the AMG GLE 63. The new car adopts an 800V voltage architecture and is equipped with an axial-flow engine developed by Yasa Company. It is expected to provide more than 1,000 horsepower, all-wheel drive and advanced torque vectoring technology.

Production will take place at the Sindelfingen plant in Germany and will be produced simultaneously with the new GT four-door coupe.
