BYD has launched three new models of its high-end brand Fangbao, including two concept cars.
The Leopard 8 SUV, Super 3 concept crossover and Super 9 concept sports car were first unveiled during a live broadcast event on Tuesday night and will be on display at the Beijing Auto Show. BYD did not announce pricing or release date.
Most new cars are equipped with dual-mode off-road plug-in hybrid systems, aiming to challenge the off-road vehicle market. The Super 9 sports car is designed by a well-known designer.
BYD launched Fangbao last year as one of its high-end car brands, including hybrid SUVs and sports cars, priced at more than 1 million yuan.
