Microsoft-backed startup OpenAI has faced a complaint from privacy group NOYB, accusing its chatbot ChatGPT of providing incorrect information that may violate EU privacy rules.

The complaint states that ChatGPT failed to provide correct information and even refused to correct or delete data. NOYB has filed a complaint with the Austrian data protection agency, requesting an investigation into OpenAI’s data processing.

The organization said systems should not be used to process personal data if they cannot produce accurate and transparent results. OpenAI has acknowledged in the past that the tool may provide incorrect answers, but solving this problem is challenging.
