Microsoft announces construction of first regional data center in Thailand

Microsoft CEO Nadella announced in Bangkok that he will establish the first regional data center in Thailand to promote the development of cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure, and promised to train more than 100,000 Thais.

Microsoft said the investment will help Thailand develop artificial intelligence skills and support its growing developer community. Nadella said that Thailand is conducive to building a digital and artificial intelligence-driven future. The move is part of Microsoft’s long-term commitment to Thailand. Microsoft’s investment will accelerate the development of Thailand’s digital economy and may contribute 30% to GDP in 2027.

Nadella will meet with Thai Prime Minister Sreeta. His trip to Southeast Asia is aimed at promoting investment in artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
