“The Information” quoted Tesla’s internal emails that Musk will further simplify top management and lay off hundreds of employees.
According to reports, Tesla Supercharging Director Rebecca Tinucci and New Product Director Daniel He have resigned, and 500 Supercharging team employees will also be laid off. Musk said the moves clearly demonstrated a determination to reduce headcount and costs.
In addition, Tesla’s public policy team will also be disbanded. Tesla has not yet responded to requests for comment.
