GE Appliances, a Haier company, completed a $450 million renovation and investment in Appliance Park, the company’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, announced in late 2021 with two new dishwasher lines. Three of the park’s five major factories have undergone major upgrades over the past two years, adding new top-loading washing machine models and four-door refrigerators, as well as new assembly lines and manufacturing equipment.

Kevin Nolan, President and CEO of GE Appliances, said, “We are committed to U.S. manufacturing and Louisville, Kentucky. From design to production, our team is always looking for better ways to bring the latest appliance technology to homes across the United States. We are working with state and local partners to build stronger state economies and communities. »

GE Appliances’ manufacturing facilities, such as the specialty dishwasher plant, are vertically integrated starting with coiled steel coils. The new manufacturing equipment can produce millions of on-site manufactured bathtubs, doors, shelves, and other components. The plant produces five brands of dishwashers on the new line. A key success product is the recently launched GE Profile™ UltraFresh System™ dishwasher with Microban® antimicrobial technology , which has been added to other models produced at the plant.
