LG Electronics announced that its premium refrigerator (600-liter model) has received the International Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification. This is the second time that the model has received EPD certification, having been awarded Norway EPD certification last year. The refrigerator reduces energy consumption thanks to its advanced inverter linear compressor ™, vacuum insulation, and optimized refrigeration cycles.
The international EPD system aims to quantify the environmental impact of products throughout their life cycle, including production, transportation, distribution, use and disposal. It provides consumers with accurate, transparent information about a product’s impact on the planet, helping them choose equipment that supports their more sustainable lives. Products are evaluated according to international standards, and consumers can learn more about them on the EPA’s official website.
