Sin Chew Daily reported that Tan Wan Lee, acting president of the Malaysian Home Appliances Merchants Association, said that the association has made suggestions to the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry that manufacturers and the Home Appliances Merchants Association should work together to jointly organize training courses for employees. Meet industry needs more effectively rather than having training arranged individually by specific companies.

Chen Wanli said that the government has implemented the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) to train employees of home appliance companies to become skilled professionals. Under the relevant regulations, the government mandates that employers with 10 or more Malaysian employees must pay 1 % HR tax.

For this reason, he hopes that the authorities can change the above policies and allow home appliance trade associations and manufacturers to have the autonomy to train employees, because only in this way can we provide the right medicine.
