South Korean companies will invest £21 billion in the UK

The UK government has said South Korean companies will invest £21 billion (RM120 billion) in the UK before starting talks on a modernisation trade deal between the two countries.

The new investment includes a £9.7bn injection of renewable energy and green infrastructure projects in the UK over a decade by South Korea’s sovereign wealth fund, the UK Department of Commerce and Trade said in a statement.
