A Chinese semiconductor company has set up a factory in Malaysia

China’s Zhejiang Unity Technology will be the first foreign semiconductor investor to set up a factory in Malaysia’s NCT Group Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), with the two parties signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

NCT founder and managing director Yip Yin Choi said the partnership provides both parties with the potential to grow together, emphasizing that the semiconductor industry is at the heart of modern technology. He believes that NSIP is fully capable of attracting foreign investment and boosting the economic development of Selangor.

Yap emphasised that the collaboration heralds a new era of innovation and progress, reinforcing NSIP’s position as a leading industrial park in Selangor and driving the country towards a prosperous and technologically advanced future. This strategic partnership aims to foster innovation, strengthen industry networks, and create opportunities for cross-border commercial enterprises by integrating expertise and resources.

He expressed optimism about the future of NSIP, believing that its visionary vision and the integration of technology and sustainability will enable the business to thrive.
