Chinese semiconductor manufacturer Zhaoxin has released a new generation of KX-7000 CPU, targeting the high-performance desktop computer market with a maximum configuration of 8 cores.
This CPU uses a 7nm process, which has twice the performance compared to the previous generation. It is equipped with a new platform ecosystem and rich I/O functions. Supports DDR5-4800 and DDR4-3200 memory, with a maximum capacity of 128GB.
In terms of I/O, it provides 24 PCIe Gen4 lanes, USB4, USB 3.2 Gen2, USB 2.0 and SATA III ports.
In addition, the CPU also has built-in iGPU C-1190, supporting DX12, OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4.6, H.265 HEVC/H.264 AVC and other latest APIs.
Zhaoxin said that the KX-7000 is compatible with the LGA 1700 socket. This CPU is coming soon, and the platform based on it is expected to be released in 2024.
