Intel unveiled its artificial intelligence (AI) chip, Gaudi3, at its “AI Everywhere” event, which is scheduled to be officially launched in 2024 to compete with rivals Nvidia and Supermicro.

Intel’s CEO wants to revitalize the business through the AI market. The Gaudi3 uses a 5nm process with significant performance improvements and is expected to outperform NVIDIA’s H100 with 128GB of HBM3e memory. Intel expects Gaudi3 to capture a larger market share in 2024.

At the same time, Intel launched the fifth generation Xeon processors and Core Ultra chips, supporting more than 230 models from global notebook and PC manufacturers, and AI chips are expected to account for 80% of the PC market by 2028.
