Microsoft has introduced a new “co-pilot key” to enable artificial intelligence on Windows devices, becoming part of the PC keyboard, and integrating AI capabilities into everyday computing.

Microsoft said the Copilot key marks the first major change to the Windows PC keyboard in nearly 30 years and is expected to be available from the end of February through the first half of this year. The Copilot key is located to the right of the Alt key and becomes a core part along with the Windows key, invoking Copilot and its AI capabilities.

This change is also Microsoft’s new move to dominate Google Search on PCs, making it easier for users to participate in the AI transformation.

Microsoft will promote the Copilot key at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next week.
