Ford announced that it sold nearly 2 million vehicles in the United States last year, up just over 7% year-over-year. CEO Jim Farley said Ford’s lineup of gasoline, electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as the strong performance of dealers, delivered solid growth during a challenging year.

Despite the impact of the Auto Workers’ strike on the Big Three, Ford’s sales performance in 2023 remained strong, with F-Series vehicle sales up 15%. Of the nearly 2 million vehicles sold, about 1.8 million were internal combustion engine vehicles, but sales of electric and hybrid vehicles increased significantly, reflecting the company’s progress in the transition to low-polluting vehicles.
