Following the U.S., South Korea has also issued a voluntary corrective action (recall) for all Tesla vehicles equipped with Autopilot’s self-driving assistance feature.

South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced on January 4 that it was recalling 13 models totaling 72,674 vehicles, including 63,991 Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Model X, and Model S due to production issues. Defects found in these vehicles, Tesla, which accounts for 88% of the total number of vehicles recalled, was found to have a problem with its Autopilot feature. Autopilot is an advanced driver assistance system that automatically recognizes objects around the vehicle and adjusts speed, distances from other vehicles, and changes lanes without driver input.
