Nikkei reported that Honda is considering building an electric vehicle plant in Canada, a project that could involve in-house production of batteries.
The total expenditure on the project could reach 2 trillion yen ($14 billion), making it one of the largest investments for Japanese automakers as it looks to catch up with competitors in the United States and Europe in EV production.
