Philippine Exporters Federation (Philexport) officials said that through innovative efforts to meet the needs of overseas markets, the furniture industry is expected to see double-digit sales growth this year, with furniture manufacturers targeting 15% to 20% growth.

Philexport representative Myrna Bituin said that product development cooperation in markets such as the United States has boosted sales growth. Bituin pointed out that in addition to the United States, the United Kingdom and Arab countries are also important markets. She said designers and entrepreneurs need to keep up with new trends and participate in international exhibitions to stay competitive.

Several Filipino furniture brands will participate in the Maison et Objet trade show in Paris, looking to enhance the Philippines’ influence in the international design field through this participation.
