Tata Starbucks, a Starbucks associate company, announced that due to growing demand in the Indian market, it aims to double the number of stores in India to 1,000 in 2028, which is equivalent to opening a new store every three days. To achieve relevant goals, the company plans to double the number of employees to 8,600 and plans to expand its footprint to second- and third-tier cities in India.

Starbucks and Tata Consumer Products established a joint venture, Tata Starbucks, in 2012, with each holding 50% of the shares. Tata Starbucks currently has more than 390 stores in 54 cities in India and has approximately 4,300 employees.
