Netflix has announced that its app will no longer be supported on select Sony TVs and Blu-ray Disc players starting at the end of February 2024. As the company reports on its website, the reason for this is technical limitations.

As a result, devices from 2011 to 2013 are affected by this change. Users of these devices will have access to the Netflix app until February 2024. Subsequently, the Netflix service will be removed from the TV and player in question.

Specifically, these are Bravia TVs from the HX, EX and W series and devices with models KD-84X9005 and KDL-65S995A.

In addition, some of Sony’s Blu-ray players and home theater systems will no longer support Netflix from March.
