GLOBE Telecom Philippines launches Cellsites At Less Footprint (CALF) to provide instant, reliable connectivity in confined spaces. Similar to a cellular base station on wheels (COW), CALF is designed for emergencies, disaster response, and additional capacity needs.
Globe senior director Gerhard said the CALF, with its portability and robustness, is suitable for emergencies and large events that require additional capacity. The technical equipment is very demanding, requiring only a 220V power supply and 2×2 meters of land space.
CALF has a quick installation and deployment feature that can be activated in less than a day, reducing manpower and vehicle requirements, simplifying the deployment process and reducing operating costs.
