The battle between South Korean TV giants Samsung and LG shows that despite declining sales in Australia and low margins, Samsung still held the lead in the last quarter, with Samsung’s share of the global OLED TV market rising by 2.4% last quarter to a total of 29.9%. The tech giant also maintained its overall sales lead, accounting for 18.3% of total shipments.

Despite the significant year-on-year decline in global TV demand, Samsung claims to dominate the premium TV market with Neo QLED TVs and OLED TVs. In a market above $3,300, sales increased by 16.2 in the third quarter of this year%,总市场份额为62%.

LG Electronics, on the other hand, has led the global OLED market for 11 consecutive years, with sales reaching 2.03 million units from January to September, accounting for 55% of total OLED shipments.

Omdia predicts that the market uncertainty in the TV industry will still exist next year, and the sluggish demand may continue, pointing out that the operating rate of LCD panel manufacturers will remain at 70%.
