Huawei and Amazon signed a multi-year patent licensing agreement, Huawei confirmed the news. The move poses a challenge to U.S. sanctions and restrictions.
Although Amazon was previously sued in Germany, it has now been resolved. The agreement expands the use of technology and promotes innovative products and services. Huawei and other Chinese companies have also signed similar patent agreements with Vivo, Xiaomi, OPPO, etc., committed to the deployment of 5G communication technology.
Huawei’s patent portfolio continues to grow, especially in the 5G field. The U.S. government is expected to react and demand an explanation from Amazon, or even cancel the deal.
