The 2024 Touareg R-Line has made its debut, with Volkswagen Malaysia (VPCM) locally assembling it (CKD) outside its factory in Slovakia for the first time.
The managing director of VPCM said that the Touareg is crucial to Volkswagen and has a pioneering status and is expected to attract the high-end SUV market. The Touareg is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 TSI engine with an output of 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque, and is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
The vehicle uses the MLB Evo platform, and the air suspension has an automatic self-leveling function. Exterior updates, IQ Light HD Matrix lighting technology and R-Line trim package. The interior features an Innovision cockpit and a 730W Dynaudio Consequence sound system.
The Touareg also features advanced safety technology and night vision system, with a suggested retail price of RM469,990.
