Close cooperation among ASEAN countries is crucial to revitalizing the regional economy, especially the halal industry.
Kedah state executive councilor Mohd Salleh Saiddin said establishing a suitable hub or portal is of great significance for product marketing and requires mutually beneficial cooperation between the industry and the government. He encouraged ASEAN Muslim businessmen to use the ASEAN Mall as a strategic hub to facilitate the promotion of halal products into the Thai market.
Mohd Salleh said Kedah borders Thailand and the presence of the hub is expected to further boost the state’s economic development.
