LG has unveiled a cute and unique AI robot with a screen “face” and wheel legs that act as a walking smart home agent.
Equipped with the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 platform, it has facial and speech recognition capabilities, supports natural language processing, and can understand context and user intent. Built-in cameras, speakers, and sensors to monitor house data such as temperature, humidity, and air quality. Can be used as a pet and children’s watchdog, patrol to monitor home security and send smartphone alerts.
As a personal assistant, the bot welcomes the user at the door, analyzes the mood and provides music or content, and can also remind the user of schedules, weather, travel, and more. LG will be exhibiting at CES 2024, and price information has not yet been announced.
