Amazon has launched the Amazon One app, which allows you to register by taking a photo of your palm with your smartphone, eliminating the need to carry a mobile phone or credit card for payment.

The technology uses generative artificial intelligence to analyze the palm vein structure and convert it into a digital representation for easy scanning and identification in retail stores. Users need to add payment methods and authentication to the app. The app is available for iOS and Android and is used for payment, age verification and entry to event venues.

However, the move raised privacy concerns, with Amazon promising to encrypt palm images and process them within a secure network.
