Meta has launched an improved artificial intelligence assistant built on a new version of its open-source Llama large-scale language model, delivering smarter and faster technology.
Meta said they are excited to see the potential that generative AI technology brings to users and the ecosystem, and are committed to developing and releasing this technology in a way that predicts and reduces risk.
They performed automated and manual evaluations of Llama 3 to understand how the model performs in various risk areas and took steps to limit the chance of the model providing poor responses in these areas.
In addition, Meta plans to release more powerful models that support multilingual dialogue in the coming months.
