JAKS joins hands with AVIC Lithium Battery to enter the Southeast Asian battery energy storage system market

A subsidiary of JAKS Resources Bhd signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China’s AVIC Battery Group to explore the battery energy storage system (BESS) market in Southeast Asia.

JAKS Solar Power Holdings Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding with CALB to jointly explore the Southeast Asian market, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The agreement covers the establishment of a joint venture to produce AVIC lithium battery modules or battery packs. AVIC Lithium Battery focuses on the development, design and manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries, including electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

JAKS CEO said the cooperation will bring more renewable energy-related opportunities and is in line with export and renewable energy policies. They are optimistic about the future results of cooperation.
