Apple spends US$250 million to expand Singapore business

Apple has announced an expansion plan in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, investing more than US$250 million to provide growth space for new jobs such as artificial intelligence.

Since the establishment of the first factory in 1981, Apple’s team in Singapore has grown from 72 to 3,600 people, becoming the central operations center in the region. CEO Cook said that Singapore is proud of its uniqueness, and the campus expansion will promote teamwork and look forward to innovation in the coming decades.

The expansion, due to begin later this year, will upgrade the existing offices and integrate three unique spaces.
