16 Malaysian companies visit Japan to promote export business

According to reports from Bernama, the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will lead a delegation of 16 Malaysian companies to visit Tokyo and Osaka, Japan from October 31 to November 8 to seek to accelerate exports.

This delegation is one of the agency’s ongoing efforts to promote Malaysian small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the global market, and is coordinated by the Ministry of Enterprise Development and Cooperatives and the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank.

The Foreign Trade Bureau will coordinate a series of activities for these 16 Malaysian companies through its Tokyo and Osaka offices, including participation in the Malaysian Exhibition 2023, business seminars, and one-on-one business docking with Japanese buyers.

Japan will be Malaysia’s fourth largest trading partner in 2022, with bilateral trade increasing by 21.2% year-on-year to RM181.51 billion.

In the same year, Malaysia’s exports to Japan increased by 29.6% year-on-year to RM98.24 billion.
