Yinson opens largest overseas solar farm

Yinson Holdings announced that its Nokh solar farm in Rajasthan, India, has officially commenced commercial operations.

Yinson Holdings operates 285 MW of solar power projects in India through its subsidiary Rising Sun Energy K Company (RSEK). This is Yinson Holdings’ largest solar project and the company’s third largest operating asset in India.

Yinson Holdings stated that the electricity produced by this solar farm is enough to meet the energy needs of 38,000 households in India, while reducing carbon emissions by approximately 470,000 tons per year.

In addition, Rising Sun Energy K also signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with India’s largest power company, NTPC Limited.
