Malaysian Payment Network Sdn Bhd PayNet has joined forces with Alipay+ to prepare for the peak inbound tourism season with e-wallet support from 8 countries.
Cooperation areas include Alipay+ (Mainland China), AlipayHK (Hong Kong), HelloMoney (Philippines), Hipay (Mongolia), Mpay (Macau), Naver Pay (Japan), Toss Pay (South Korea) and TrueMoney (Thailand).
PayNet Group CEO Farhan Ahmad said the partnership aims to facilitate the 23.5 million international tourists ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026). Farhan said PayNet plans to add 10 more countries in the next two years, expanding its partners to most of Asia.
