Gas Malaysia’s wholly-owned subsidiary Gas Malaysia Virtual Pipeline Sdn Bhd (GMVP) has reached a strategic cooperation with Johor Plantation to become a pioneer in the green natural gas field in the state. During the 2023 Asia-Pacific Climate Week, the two companies conducted a formal document exchange.

GMVP signed a natural gas purchase agreement with Johor Plantation, committing to purchase biomethane with an annual contract volume of 250,000 MMBtu from Johor Plantation and inject it into the natural gas distribution system of Malaysia Gas Company. This collaboration is in line with Malaysian Gas’ business sustainability plan to drive cleaner and more efficient energy solutions and support the national energy transformation roadmap.

The company’s CEO said strategic collaborations with like-minded partners are critical to long-term growth.
