The Philippine Department of Tourism said it would earn about $7 billion in revenue from foreign tourists in the first 10 months of 2023, a 190% increase from last year’s estimate of $2.47 billion.

Secretary Frasco said more than 4.63 million international tourists visited the Philippines, accounting for 96% of the annual target. This year the goal is to attract 5 million foreign tourists. Frasco pointed out that the Department of Transportation is working with the Department of Public Works and Highways to build more tourism infrastructure and has repaired 158 kilometers of tourism roads. The Department of Transportation has established 10 tourist rest areas at strategic locations across the country and plans to build 18 more to provide tourists with a more comfortable accommodation experience in the Philippines. At the same time, five cruise terminals are expected to be built next year to promote the development of tourism. 发送反馈 侧边栏 历史记录 已保存 提供建议
