Russia and Malaysia agreed to establish a working group to strengthen cross-sector tourism cooperation.

Aksenova, deputy director of the Special Projects Group of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, said at the second meeting of the Russian-Malaysian Joint Committee on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation held in Kuala Lumpur that the two countries want to maintain the growth of tourist flows and agreed to establish in Russia- A special working group has been established within the framework of the Malaysian Commission to strengthen tourism cooperation. According to statistics from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the number of Russian tourists to Malaysia in the first half of this year reached 64,000, slightly lower than the 80,000 in 2019.
